South Bound Detour to begin on Thursday, June 13th.

Last week the contractor continued to install water main and perform testing on the newly installed water main.

Next week, the contractor will continue to perform testing on the newly installed water main and begin working on the storm sewer improvements.

The contractor may also begin making connections between the existing water main and newly installed water main following passing of the necessary tests. A water main shut down may be required at various locations to perform this work. Residents effected by a scheduled water main shut down will be given 24-hour notice.

On Thursday, June 13th, Washington Road will become a one way street, northbound only, between Central Road and Norwood Court.  Southbound traffic will be detoured over to either Shermer Road or Greenwood Road.  Signs will be in place to mark the detour, which is anticipated to last 6-8 weeks.

Access to driveways along Washington Road will be maintained throughout the detour and emergency vehicles will have access to the road at all times.  Trash collection and mail delivery will also continue for the duration of the detour.  When the new road is placed two way traffic will be restored.

Thank you in advance for your patience during the construction operations.
